Actuators

Compared to other shut-off valve models, the gate valve requires great force for operation.
For this reason, the most typical actuator for gate valves with a rotating stem is an electric actuator.
The knife gate valves are an exception; in the case of these valves, we recommend the use of a pneumatic actuator due to the high closing speed.

Fail-Safe function as an optional extra

We co-operate with commonly known electric actuator manufacturers such as Auma, Bernard and Rotork whose actuators we use, if necessary.

The actuators can be equipped with optional equipment or a Fail-Safe function so that the actuator moves the valve into the closed position even in the case of a power failure in the system. In addition, they can be fitted with fire protection.
